After a grueling battle against the tyrant, King, and his friends cut Belos off from the Isles, putting an end to his reign of terror. Just then, King, Willow, Amity, Gus, and Hunter, arrive to help her battle Belos. During the fight, King finds Kikimora, who is also being drained by the spell. She reveals that Belos cannot stop the draining spell, and the only one who can is the Collector. Wanting to get back at Belos, Kikimora agrees to take King to the Collector. The Collector agrees to help undo the draining spell if he released them and promises to play games with them soon after.

As his final act, he would also seal away the Collector, mistakenly believing him to be evil along with his own physical body, keeping King safe. Much of King's character arc comes from his attempts to have some kind of domineering control over others, whether it be due to his own actions or manipulating others to get what he wants. He and Hooty pilot a Belos float that sets off insulting fireworks and they distract the guards as Eda and Luz kidnap Raine and Kikimora.

Eda's Requiem

Luz and Lilith are in the living room, up to their heads in books. They are researching glyph combinations in hopes of covering new spells. Meanwhile, King is with his stuffed toys and tries to get Luz and Lilith to play along, saying Francois is trying to start a rebellion. King insists that he was the king of demons and recalls vague memories of his army, feasts worthy of a ruler, and falling from a massive height as an evil hex shrank him to the small critter he is now. Determined to prove Lilith wrong, King takes her and Luz, along with Hooty, on a trip to an uncharted island hidden in a fog.

After learning Hooty was trying to help Luz ask Amity out, he and Eda subdue Hooty as Luz and Amity begin dating. As the creature corners the group, Eda arrives and helps them fight it off. Once outside, their attacker fails to follow and Eda reveals she found King there eight years ago and brought him home with her, thinking he was a beast demon. They were attacked by the creature and it shot off one of King's horns. Eda explains that after she realized he could talk, she named him King and told him all the stuff he believed about himself, and reveals she was just playing along. King refuses to believe this as Eda brings out his severed horn and he puts it on, realizing it is true.

King finds a snaggleback, who is hiding in a closet after a storm started, and he is eaten by the monster. King then finds Luz hiding in Eda's room and, after finding a label that went with the elixir, they realize the monster is Eda suffering from a curse. Luz's phone falls to the ground and the flash of the camera stuns Eda as the two hide and Luz throws a pot to lure it away. Despite his diminutive stature, King possesses a big personality and an even bigger heart. He releases the Collector from their imprisonment just in time to save Luz and her friends and seemingly kills Belos.

Eda arrives shortly after and they return to the Owl House mildly successful with Amity's glove being stained with blood from the key. As Eda is playing a game of Hexes Hold'em with Owlbert, her curse begins to act up, so she, Luz, and King head into town to get more elixirs from her supplier, Morton. However, Morton is unable to get the ingredients at such short notice and advises her to go to the Night Market. King joins her and they find the supplier, Tibbles, who agrees to sell the elixir at an inflated price. After Eda notices Hexes Hold'em cards, she offers to play to bless for the elixir, but loses and Tibbles takes King to model baby clothes.

After Gus calls him up to the stage, King fumbles and the crowd boos him. After running away, Gus comforts him and they run after Luz when she is chased out of school by Grometheus the Fear Bringer. After Luz and Amity subdue Grometheus, he declares them the winners and joins the girls as the crowd carries them away. After Luz brings Amity, Gus, and a mind wiped Willow to the Owl House.

He later embarks with Luz on a whaler in search of the monster Selkidomus to provide for their budgetary need. By accident, King discovers that the boat belongs to the Emperor before being captured by the Golden Guard. The Emperor's minion subsequently blackmails Luz and Eda into eliminating Selkidomus, using the little demon as leverage. Through subterfuge, the Golden Guard believes the Beast to be dead and releases King after stating he smells bad anyway. King is also shown to be lazy, often lying around the house napping instead of working, and at times must be forced or blackmailed to do work, much to his annoyance.
